Dear Valued Brand Concepts Customers,
We want to keep you informed about how recent trade developments might affect your orders with us.
As a fully owned Canadian company, Brand Concepts operates all decorating production here in Canada. We source our glassware from top manufacturers worldwide, including those in Europe, Asia, and North America.
On March 4, 2025, Canada implemented a 25% tariff surcharge on a range of U.S.made goods, including drinking glasses. This tariff has increased the cost of glassware sourced from our American suppliers, Libbey Glass and ARC International, who primarily manufacture in the United States.
In anticipation of this tariff, we proactively increased our inventory to minimize any immediate impact on our customers. To date, Brand Concepts has absorbed the cost of this surcharge. However, due to the ongoing nature of the tariff and the reduction of our initial inventory buffer, we will now need to pass along the surcharge on USA-made glasses as existing stock decreases. Rest assured, we will clearly communicate the surcharge amount for any affected items before your order is finalized.
To ensure complete transparency, this tariff surcharge will appear as a separate line item on your invoice. This will also allow for easy removal should Canada decide to eliminate the tariff in the future.
Please note that this surcharge applies only to glasses manufactured in the USA and does not affect glassware produced in Europe, Asia, or Mexico.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work through this trade disruption together.
The Brand Concepts Team
